February 2004 - News Line

The February 15th and March 21st trials will be held at Ken Browns place in Easton, KS (Leavenworth). Start time is 11:00 AM. Directions to the event are as follows: If you are coming from I-70, take KS Hwy 7 north until you come to a Phillips gas station on your right hand side. Turn Left and follow pavement all the way until it curves to the right. Go approx ½ to 1 mi to fork in road. Take Left fork and follow to first 4-way stop sign. Turn Right and take to KS 92 Hwy. Turn Left. Take to 215th st. (trials sign should be at this intersection) turn Left. Follow to Trials site. If you're coming through Leavenworth, find your way to KS 92 Hwy and follow same directions as above. If you need better directions, Ken's home # is 913-772-8414.

Attention everyone! If you own a golf cart, sup it up. Have you wanted one but seem to be procrastinating about getting it, well now is the time. At the May "Fun in the Sun" two-day, we will have the first ever "M.A.T.T. Golf Cart Games". The events will be held Sat evening. More details to come.

For new members and riders in the club and area, M.A.T.T. member Jason Carpenter is a parts dealer for Gas Gas. He handles bike parts, Hebo clothing, boots, helmets, grips, fenders, etc… If you need something, give him a call at 816-806-8163. If you are looking for a Gas Gas bike, club member Dale Malasek is the man to see.

On Jan 30th, 31st, and Feb 1st a few of the M.A.T.T. riders put on a little expidition down at Kemper Arena before the Monster truck shows. Scott, Jake, Bill, Jason, Morgan, Thorton, Randy Storr, Marc and a few others put on a nice entertaining show promoting our sport. Thanks goes to all that helped.
