Mid America Trials Team

March 2006

Welcome all to another edition of fact filled gibberish about the Mid America Trials Team. Further in this rag, you'll find our finalized 2006 schedule, info on our next event, an update on the world indoor series and many more interesting tid bits. So read away.

The March event will take place 0n Sunday the 19th at Brown's Trials Fun Land near Easton, KS. Start time will be 11:00. Kenny guaranteed sunny, dry weather, so dust off yer boots and head to the great northwest. Directions: From I-70, take K-7 hwy north to Fairmont Rd (north of Leavenworth Rd, across from the Phillips 66 gas station). Turn left and take all the way to 175th st. (Pavement curves to right and turns into 175th). Take to Y in rd and take left fork. Go through stop sign. This will put you on Dempsey Rd. Follow to the 4-way stop at the top of the hill. Turn right on 187th St. Follow all the way to the next stop sign. Turn left onto K-92 Hwy. Follow to 215th St. It is a left hand sweeping turn. There will be a sign and ribbon at this intersection. Follow the gravel rd all the way to the bottom and turn left at the mailbox marked Brown. Follow the road until you see cars parked in the field on your right. If you get lost, please call (913) 772-8414. See you there.

It is with much sadness that I must report the passing of Charlie Hays from the Ark Valley Trials club. Seems like Charlie was always the moneyman running sign up every time we went there. Charlie passed away Feb 21st after losing his battle with cancer. He will be missed and our condolences go out to his family and friends with the AVTA.

The '06 World Indoor series is winding down. In what started out as a tight series with a different winner every week, there has been one rider to emerge from the pack. Adam Raga solidified his first place standing with win after win. With the help of an off night by Albert Cabestany at the Sao Paulo, Brazil, Adam was able to clinch his fourth Indoor title with two rounds remaining. Round 9 saw Albert climb the top step of the podium and clinch second place in the series. Toni Bou also had a good performance at this round and sewed up third overall. The tenth and final round of the series to be held in Spain will hold little value in terms of series standings, however, I'm sure the two-wheeled magicians will be giving it their all for the Spanish crowd. It won't be long before the world outdoor events start, we'll keep you posted.

See you in the woods.
