Mid America Trials Team

May 2006

Hello trials enthusiasts and the casual by stander. This month's newsline will be a little shorter than normal due to my tight time constraints and the May two-day literally a few days away. In this issue, we'll cover info about the 2-day, the April trials results, upcoming events, and of course new to you scooters. So let's get started.

The May two day will be held this coming weekend (May 6th & 7th) at our normal club grounds near Trenton, MO. Start times for both days will be 11:00 AM for all classes. We will ride in groups. There will be a short trials school after the Saturday event given by Jason Carpenter. The third annual running of the Golf Cart games will be a toned down affair compared to last year's zaniness. Word has it that it will be a ladies only affair. I hope every one can make it. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate. Directions: Trials site located 3 miles west of Trenton, MO, just north of the junction of Hwy 6 & Hwy 146. Trenton is approx. 90 miles north east of Kansas City. From KC, go north on I-35 to exit 61 (Hwy 6) and turn east. (follow signs toward Crowder State Park) Turn north on Hwy 146 (big white cross) and go approx. 1/8 of a mile and turn right on the gravel road (N.A.P. Quarry). Lock gate behind you. Combination lock is 6288 (MATT)

Attention all club members, your dues are due by the two-day. Contact Jim Bridges for your current account balance. His number is (816) 363-0464.

The TN world round will be held May 20th & 21st near Sequatchie, Tn. I forgot to mention our club members who are riding in the Friday portion of the national series. Good Luck to Ken Brown Jr, Mike Carpenter, and Dale Malasek. If I've missed anyone, good luck to you too.

The Lansing City Days committee has once again asked the Extreme Traction team to put on a demo during their festivities on June 10th. The demo will run all day and is only one day this year. All are invited to join in with your bike. Don't be shy. If you have any obstacles you'd like bring, feel free. They always give us lots of space. We are also looking for a sound system if anyone has one they'd like to donate. Contact Jason at (816) 806-8163 for more info.

Ken Brown Jr is working on organizing a North Central series with the states to the North and east of us. Details are still getting worked out, but if you'd like to add your input, please call Kenny at (913) 772-8414.
